Lambeth Reuse and Recycling Centre accepts certain materials for reuse and recycling from Lambeth residents arriving by car or on foot.

General household waste and trade waste are not accepted, nor are vans or deliveries of recyclables from non-Lambeth residents. You will not be allowed to bring materials into the site on foot from a vehicle parked outside.

Opening Times

Please be aware that Vale Street is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Mon, Thurs and Fri 7:30am to 4:30pm (including bank holidays)
Sat-Sun 8am to 5pm
Christmas Day and New Years Day - Closed

  • Light bulbs (including low energy)
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Plastic bottles
  • Plastics (rigid)
  • Printer cartridges (for reuse)
  • Scrap metal
  • Spectacles (for reuse)
  • Tapes and disks
  • Textiles, clothing and shoes
  • Tools (for reuse)
  • Wood

Visitor Information

Before you visit:

  • You can bring household recycling to the site in a car or on foot. Trade or non-recyclable household waste is not accepted under any circumstances.

When you visit:

  • Please drive carefully - children and pets must remain in vehicles at all times.
  • There are signs with material symbols to guide you to the correct drop off points.
  • Some containers are accessed via metal steps. Please ask a member of staff for assistance should you need help.
