Liz Horsfield - Education Team Leader
Liz has worked in and with Council waste and sustainability teams for many years, and has been a 3Rs enthusiast for even longer. She loves talking to people about waste and is always impressed by children's passion for looking after our environment. When not at work talking about waste, she can usually be found in a charity shop hunting for a reused bargain.
Jon Long - Education Officer
Jon has previous experience in teaching, change consultancy and has a degree in fine art. Jon has particular responsibility for encouraging local community groups and residents to visit the site. He is especially passionate about instilling positive behavioural change around people’s views on the environment, and always makes his workshops entertaining as well as informative.
Debra Trayner - Education Officer
Debra has always had a passion for recycling even from her days of skip diving as a Fine Art student. In her previous career as Senior Interaction Designer for BBC Children, she has a good understanding of what attracts and motivates primary age children. She also has a love for gardening and composting … and believes in the power of the imagination and creativity to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Patrick Fawcett - Education Officer
Patrick has a degree in Environmental Science and has previously worked engaging students in STEM subjects to further young people’s understanding of our environmental responsibilities. He is inspired by the enthusiasm from students and teachers looking to help look after our planet. Patrick is great at getting everyone involved in activities, and has been known to get a little competitive during Recycle Races!
