Job Vacancy - Data Assistant

Based at the Smugglers Way Waste facility in Wandsworth, SW18.

36 hours per week (weekdays only, start time to be agreed) 

Starting Salary:  £24,705 (rising to £26,064) 


Western Riverside Waste Authority is responsible for treating the waste and recyclables collected by the London Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Lambeth, Wandsworth and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and we are looking to recruit a Data Assistant.  The successful candidate will join our small, close-knit, hardworking and high performing team.

What you’ll be doing

We are looking for a Data Assistant to assist us in the day-to-day checking and analysis of waste data using various spreadsheets, databases and web-based recording systems.

What we’ll need from you

If you:

  • have good organisational and planning skills and can prioritise your workload to meet deadlines
  • have a good eye for detail
  • can use MS Office-based IT
  • have an understanding of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in employment and service delivery and
  • are interested in starting a career in waste management

you may be ideal for this post.

Waste Industry experience is not essential.
