WRWA is responsible for managing the waste generated in four London Boroughs (Wandsworth, Lambeth, Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea) through either re-use, recycling or disposal. We are looking to recruit a new Education Team Leader, to manage our very much in demand Education Programme.

About the role

Your main goal will be to lead in the on-going success and continuing development of our Education Programme through the management and motivating of a team of three Education Officers on a daily basis. The Education Programme is a high quality Programme delivering educational talks and workshops to schools and adult groups, through on-site visits to our Smugglers Way site or in educational establishments in the WRWA area.

About You

You will need to:

• demonstrate a good understanding of the three R’s and wider climate change issues
• possess good organisational and planning skills
• demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and
• have proven experience in presenting to a wide range of audiences.

If you are passionate about spreading the 3R’s message (reduce, reuse, recycle) to schools and community groups, and possess the required skills to lead a team to extend the reach of our current Education Programme, this may be the perfect role for you!

In return, we can offer you a competitive salary, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, an interest-free loan for a travel card and free and confidential support via our Employee Assistance Programme.
