Adult groups - local residents tours (18+ only). Currently Online

UPDATE: Unfortunately, we will not be able to run Adult visits to our site for the foreseeable future but you can still register your interest for when we are able to open up again or book for an online tour/talk – click the button above to find out our scheduled dates.

When they have time between their work with the schools, the Authority’s education team also provide tours of the Materials Recycling Facility to residents of our four boroughs (Lambeth, Wandsworth, Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham).

If you would like to attend a tour please contact one of our education officers, either by email on education@wrwa.gov.uk or by phone on 0208 875 8885, and we can add you to our waiting list. Please be patient as we have limited availability.

These tours go inside the sorting machinery whilst it is operational, and as such are subject to health & safety regulations. If you are under-18, fitted with a pacemaker or pregnant you will unfortunately not be able to go inside our machinery hall. The tour also involves about one and a half miles of walking and the machinery hall itself contains several fights of stairs to climb.

You can also watch a video of What Happens to your Recycling and Waste.
