Joint Resource and Waste Strategy 2025- 2040

The Western Riverside Partners – the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, the London Borough of Lambeth, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the London Borough of Wandsworth and Western Riverside Waste Authority – work together to reuse, collect, sort, recycle, treat and dispose of waste in your area.

The Partners have developed a long-term draft strategy 2025 – 2040 that we’d like feedback on.  The joint strategy sets out our collective ambitions for the next 15 years and includes targets and actions that will help us to achieve our vision.

Our Vision

“The Western Riverside partners will work together with our residents and businesses to prioritise waste prevention, reduce our carbon emissions and environmental impacts, and provide customer focused waste and recycling services that maximise value from the materials we manage.”

You can read more about the draft strategy by downloading the Non-Technical Summary, the full draft strategy, the Equality Impact Assessment and the SEA Statement of Determination, all of which can be found at the bottom of this page.  If you would like more technical information, please email strategies@wrwa.gov.uk.

Public Consultation

A public consultation on the draft strategy will run from Monday 2nd September through to Monday 14th October 2024 and includes an online survey and focus groups. Feedback from this consultation will help to inform the final strategy, which once complete will be formally adopted by all Partners.

Please share your views by completing the survey .
