Smugglers Way Household Waste and Recycling Centre

Please note: From Monday, 22nd March 2021, residents who wish to use the Smugglers Way Household Waste and Recycling Centre in a car, or on a motorcycle, must have booked a slot before they arrive at the Centre. It will be possible to book a slot from when the system goes live on Monday, 15th March 2021. For more info. visit our News Item.
The Smugglers Way Household Waste and Recycling Centre remains open, but please check back here before you visit to ensure you have the latest information on any new measures we may introduce to keep you and Centre staff safe.
Before you visit, please note:
If you are unwell with symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) or in a 10–day household isolation you should stay at home.
Track and Trace QR codes will be made available at the HWRC for users of the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing app.
You will be required to reverse into a parking bay (to ensure a 2-metre minimum spacing between residents).
Only the driver of the vehicle will be permitted to leave the vehicle. If it is essential for a passenger to assist you in carrying a heavy item, please inform a Recycling Advisor before they leave the vehicle.
Please maintain social distancing with staff and other residents at all times.
You are advised to wear gloves for your own protection.
If you are arriving on foot or by bike there will be a pedestrian one-way system in operation.
