Paper Making
We explore the impacts of deforestation and the positive difference our actions can make. We then use our ‘paper factory’ kits to work in teams to recycle used classroom paper into new paper! Each pupil will make their own piece of recycled paper to take away.  (1 hour)

Plastic in our Oceans
We follow the story of a plastic bag. From oil drilling to plastic production to its journey across the planet, all the way to our bins at home. We investigate how much of our waste plastic ends up in our seas, the devastating impact it can have on the environment, how we can help protect our oceans and what could happen if we don’t!  (1 hour)

Recycle Races
From resources to recycling, pupils will investigate the impact of their actions. We explore whether our demand for wood, metal, and oil is exploiting natural resources, whether our actions are sustainable and how recycling can help protect our environment. Each class provides their knowledge by competing in a recycling race to find out which team are our waste sorting champions. (1 hour)

You can also visit our recycling centre in Wandsworth and see recycling in action!

Our education team can help – we can visit you to deliver talks, workshops, or practical help for staff and pupils. Some of the things we offer are:
